Opportunities to Serve 

Are you looking for an avenue of service?  A place to "Give back" something for all the blessings that you have received?  A place to use your talents and energy for God's glory?  A way to prove to the world (and yourself) that you may be over 55 years old, but you still have a lot to offer?  We are happiest when we are in service to others.

Here are some channels where you can be of great benefit to others, and have fun while you are doing it.  

1. Immediate Needs

Need 1: Love Children?
The Preschool Ministry is looking for volunteers for the Sunday mornings from 10:15 - 11:30 a.m.  This can be once a month or once a quarter  ...  whatever time you can give.

Need 2: Like older people?

(You had better - you will be one yourself one of these days) Do you enjoy the glow on a person's face when they realize that someone loves them? Does bringing joy to a lonely person bring joy to your heart as well? Look into participation with our St. Joseph's Manor ministry.

Need 3: Like to Sing?

We need volunteers to lead singing from 9:45 to 10:15 in our St.Joseph Manor services. We need two people, each to lead singing only once a month. Come join us and then make it back to Central in time for the Worship Service.

Need 4: Have a feel for shut ins?

We need volunteers who would like to be paired with a shut-in of our church. You would get to visit them every once in a while, call, send birthday cards, and show them that they are still cared about members of our church body.

Need 5: Be a Welcomer?

With Central being a large church, we need people who can show hospitality to our visitors by walking them to Sunday Bible Studies and welcoming them on Sunday mornings before the service.  Volunteers are needed once a month at 10:00-10:40 on Sundays. This is such a great need in our church as our Welcome Center volunteers are the first impression people have at Central.  Contact Randy Wilson at 776-9977 or  rwilson@cbcbryan.org

2. Senior Ministry Teams 
 This link outlines some of the Senior Adult ministry teams, and some of the jobs they do.  If you are serious about serving, there is a place here for you.  Look this over and let us know where you think that you can fit in.  We welcome you as we join hands to share God's love.
