Ministry Teams

There are many different ways to get involved in the senior adult ministry. One way is to volunteer to serve on a Senior Adult Ministry Team.  Below is a list of our ministry teams.

 Hospital Team - This team visits, calls, prays for and sends cards to all church members in the hospital.  If possible, they will also help with other needs while the person is in the hospital.  For more information contact Don Williamson, dwilliamson4@suddenlink.net

 Missions Team - This team coordinates events to help organizations such as Crisis Pregnancy Centers, the Food Pantry, our military troops, local schools, and those in need in Bryan, College Station area. For more information  Contact:AliceNelson, amnelson31@hotmail.com

Bereavement Team - This team would call, visit and pray for those in our church that have lost a loved one.  They would also send cards and follow up with those persons.  If you would like to head up this team and get it started contact: Kelley Nease 776-9977 ext.204 or senioradults@cbcbryan.org

Community Outreach Team – This team would pray for and send cards to city, state and federal officials, police and firemen, doctors and nurses, and members of the military from our community. If you would like to head up this team and get it started contact: Kelley Nease, 776-9977 ext.204 or senioradults@cbcbryan.org

Nursing Home and Shut In Team - This team visits and prays for our church members in nursing homes and those who are unable to leave their home. Team members send letters and cards, and run errands if possible. This team also schedules and volunteers at the Sunday Morning services at Sheridan and Sherwood nursing homes. Triple L Team - This team plans and organizes each Triple L event including food service and decorations.  This team is directed by Wanda Berry at 979-774-4324, Norma Rice at 979-776-1472, and Ann Villines.  For more information, contact one of them.

Trips and Events Team - Senior Adults take many different trips and attend many different events. This team is responsible for submitting ideas, planning and organizing the trip or event and promoting it. To volunteer your home for Steppin' Out, where the seniors meet for dinner, contact: Liz Batson, lizbatson@verizon.net  To volunteer to help plan and organize trips, contact Kelley Nease at 776-9977 ext. 204 or senioradults@cbcbryan.org

Office Angels – Our office angels help with computer work as well as menial tasks such as mail outs and phone calls. For more information Contact: Jean Rogers, jeanr39@suddenlink.net

Church Wide Events Team - Church Wide events are held several times a year. Team members plan, promote and organize these events. Most importantly this team will involve church members and Sunday School classes in any way they can. For more information Contact: Millie Wright  mwjw14@suddenlink.net
