Central Baptist Church Awana

Thousands of Awana Clubs meet in churches around the world. The International Headquarters is in Streamwood, Illinois. These church-based, community clubs are open to all children and have children attending from many different churches.
The name “Awana” comes from 2nd Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.” Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. An Awana Club meeting consists of three parts: Scripture memorization and application, fun games, and a Bible lesson time. Our Awana workers are trained to work in our program.
