Pray for Kortnie Shaffer who was involved in an ATV accident, Her chest was crushed causing damage to heart and lungs. She is in critical condition and unresponsive in Temple Scott and White hospital. Pray for her recovery and her family.
Update: (Submitted July 28, 2010)
Kortnie is feeling the best she's felt so far. Yesterday she did well on physical therapy (walked 500 feet and did an hour of lower body exercises). They found the source of her infection and she has been on the proper course of antibiotic treatment for the last 7 days so another 7 days and she gets to come home. That means she will come home next Wednesday. She will have another 4 weeks of non-chewing ahead to let her jaw heal, but can have soft foods.

Update:
God continues to bring positive signs everyday that He is working in Charles' body for healing. Please continue to pray for the removal of pain and nausea; report of normal liver and kidney function numbers. We are still asking for normal protein numbers that will help alleviate the fluid build up in his belly. Please pray for God's encouragement for Charles and his wife, Janice as they deal with the huge daily tasks for the duration of his healing.
We are so grateful for the part you are playing in God's will for Charles and family.
