Vehicle Donations

Donating a vehicle to the church is easy but there are a few steps that must be followed in order to stay in compliance with IRS regulations.  If you have decided to donate a vehicle to the church, the vehicle along with the title must be brought to the church so that we can transfer the vehicle into the church’s name.   Once we receive the vehicle we will be able to mail you a letter of acknowledgement for the vehicle.  The acknowledgement will include the following information:

      w    Donor’s name and taxpayer identification number

      w    The vehicle identification number

      w    Date of the contribution (this is the date that the vehicle is brought to the church)

      w    A statement that goods or services provided by the charity consisted entirely of intangible religious benefits, if that was the case

      w    The church intends to give the vehicle to a needy individual

      w    The gift of the vehicle is in direct furtherance of the church’s charitable purpose of relieving the poor and distressed or the underprivileged who are in need of a means of transportation
