We accept the Scriptures as an all-sufficient and infallible rule of faith and practice, and insist upon the absolute inerrancy and sole authority of the Word of God.

We recognize at this point no room for division, either of practice or belief, or even sentiment. More and more we must come to feel as the deepest and mightiest power of our conviction that a "thus saith the Lord" is the end of all controversy.

Purpose

We, in order to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, do hereby ordain the following to be the purpose of His Church:

To spread the good news of the saving grace given us through God's plan of salvation. (Matthew 28:19-20)

To provide discipleship to new believers in the faith.

To provide opportunities for worshiping the Almighty God.

To cultivate a growing fellowship with God, our church and the people of the community.

To unselfishly seek out the needs of all people and to give aid and service to those needs in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 25:35-40)

Membership

If you are interested in becoming a member of Central, we would love to have you join us.  It is our desire that our visitors receive all the information necessary in order to make a prayerful decision about church membership.  We also desire to assist new members in connecting to your new church family, to encourage spiritual growth, and to prepare them for ministry

Membership

Any person may join Central if they have:

1)  Made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives

2)  Been baptized by immersion after accepting Christ

3)  Attended a New Member Workshop

The Steps to Membership:

Membership Orientation
At the end of each worship service is an invitation where prospective members can come forward.  After the invitation, prospective members will be introduced and then escorted to a short New Member Orientation.  At the New Member Orientation, they will receive information concerning the steps to membership and a member orientation host will counsel them regarding their salvation experience and assurance thereof.  Also, they will fill out a short information card to be added to our church database.

Membership Workshop
One Wednesday night every few months, Central will offer a New Membership Workshop.  At this workshop, prospective members will be given an overview of the beliefs and ministries of our church.  At this workshop, the new members will meet the church staff and their families and hear staff share about their ministry opportunities.  They will be encouraged to get involved in ministries at Central using their gifts and passions.
